I tried a couple of new-to-me watercolor techniques using Distress Inks. The first is no-line coloring and the other is watercolor smooshing. Stamping Bella's Tiny Townie Garden Girl, Lily of the Valley was stamped in Antique Linen on watercolor paper and then colored with the distress inks in my collection to create the no-line look. (I liked this technique so much, I purchased some new inks this week!) The trickiest part of the no line coloring was the flowers. It's hard to tell from the photo, but weathered wood and spun sugar helped give definition to the flowers. The same colors are used as a palette for smooshed background.
