A Day for Daisies - Nymph or Fairy?

This little cutie is from the ADFD archives, called Wild Daisy Nymph.  There are four nymphs in this collection and truth-be-told, I fell in love with their eyes and sweet faces when I saw them.  Thinking of those little toe-headed blonde children, I decided to keep her hair white-blonde.  The hair color really popped as I layered in more E93 and 95 behind her.  Her wings are coated with Wink of Stella.
SU's French Script is stamped in white to create a card back background and the sentiment is from Avery Elle's Thanks a Bunch set.
Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, R11
Hair - E42, 41
Eyes and wings - BG 70, 72
Flowers and dress - R11, 22, 24
Leaves - G12, 14
Background - E93, 95

I wondered why Tammy designated these "nymphs" and not fairies, so when I checked "the Google", I discovered that fairies are no bigger than your fingers, but nymphs can be the size of humans!   Something new "enchanted" learning for me!  Hope this card enchants and inspires you to check out Tammy's nymph collection in the ADFD shop!

It's half way through our August "Use School Paper" challenge on the ADFD Blog.   The fabulous prize is images from the ADFD store and a chance to be a Guest DT Member!  I hope you come and play!

Creative Knockouts #155 - Tag Time

This week the Creative Knockouts challenge is all about tags.  My card uses the image, Support from our sponsor Glitterbabe and Stamping Boutique.  I decided to keep this card simple and use pink, black and white.  I used Stickles on the bra and a computer generated sentiment.  Take a peek at the DT creations here and then play with us.

A Day for Daisies August Challenge - Use "School" Paper

The August Challenge theme on the ADFD Blog is "Use Some Kind of School Paper" - and super appropriate for so many of the families around the world whose children are headed back to school in August or September.   Arielle has selected images from the "School Days" collection for the DT to use for the  challenge.  Mine is called Happy School House.  The pencil is from a PTI set called Pencil Me In.  I am going to give this to my daughter-in-law later this month when the kids go back to school.  I know by the end of August, the first day of school is a happy day for a lot of parents of school-aged children!!

You can find all of the images in the "Featured Products" Section of the ADFD Shop HERE.

Make sure you stop by the ADFD Blog and see the fabulous "makes" from the DT and then play in our challenge this month.  I can't wait to see what you make!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #153 - Favorite Colors

Welcome to another Creative Knockouts Challenge.  This one is sponsored by Imagine That Digi Stamps.  I used Baseball Boy for my card.  Three digis come with the set, the boy as you see him as well as a baseball bat and ball.  After coloring the boy, I fussy cut around it and popped it out.  I created the background using the bat and ball and some word art.

My husband takes our grandsons on a baseball trip every summer.  They go to farm team games and minor league games in the midwest.  This was the first trip for the youngest, so I made a card for them.  Great memories!

Our challenge is using your favorite colors.  I don't really have favorite colors, but what I do love is to use neutrals with a bright pop of color, hence the brown with the bright blue.  Take a peek at the rest of the DT's work here and then play along with us.

A Day for Daisies - Ladybug Hello

Hi Everyone!
Today is my first solo DT post for the ADFD Blog.  I am super-excited to share an adorable image with you, called Ladybug Hello.  Could she be any more cute?!?

You'll notice the image in the shop is reverse of my card.  No problem!  Once I downloaded her, I just needed to flip the image on my computer so I could align her with where I wanted my circle to be cut out.  That's one great advantage of digital stamps, isn't it?!?

This is such a fun and easy card design.  All that's needed is a little lining up of the window and the image.  I used 110 lb. Recollections paper from Michaels for my card base because it makes a sturdy card.  That weight paper doesn't go through my printer, so I use a lighter cardstock for printing digis.

The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug and the patterned papers are from my scrap drawer.   I cut out my own speech bubble and doddle "stitched" around it and added three punched flowers.  The inside and outside sentiments are both from my collection of PTI stamps.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, 00, R20, BV00
Hair:  E41, 42, 23, 33, 47
Romper:  BG000, 11, 15 (some tip to tip blending to make the colors transition easier)
Ladybugs:  R20, 24, 27 & C3,5,9
Grass: almost every YG I have(!) and G 12, 24
Sky:  BG0000, 000, touch of C00, 0 & 1
Shoes:  R20, 24

You can find Ladybug Hello in the ADFD Shop HERE, along with other monthly specials and free digis.  Honestly, with all of the challenges ADFD sponsors and the free digis in the shop and on the blog, Tammy has got to be one of the most generous artists around!

Be sure to visit the ADFD Blog on Friday, August 5th for our new challenge!

So confused - Or Maybe Not?!?

Back today with another new image from Sandra Caldwell.  This one is called 972 Confused Kathy Angel.  You can find her in the Babycakes Digis and Design Etsy Shop.

I just fussy cut around her head so she could pop out of the frame and I added three little stamped flowers for her to hold.  A couple of enamel dots and a sentiment flag, and viola!  The background paper was perfect for the card!

I loved the look on this little girl's face!  I wonder if she is more naughty than confused?!?  Anyway, the card is going to my granddaughter who just finished a week of theater camp.  She was on Cloud 9 because the 5-7 years olds in her age group got to perform It's A Hard Knock Life from Annie!  She gave it all she had and was completely adorable.

I hope you will check out the other DT cards on the Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans Facebook page.  If you haven't joined the group, you should!  Sandra is always sneaking a game or challenge in - and that means people win some of her digis.
