A Day for Daisies - Valentine Showcase

This week, the ADFD DT all got to pick different Valentine-related images and use the inspiration board to create our cards.  My image is called Cupid Party.  I decided to pop out the hearts and one of the wings.  Everything is glittered up IRL, sorry it doesn't come across in the photo.  Check out what the rest of the DT did here with Tammy's images and get started on some of your own Valentine's cards! Creative Knockouts #123 - Anything Goes

The Creative Knockouts challenge this week is sponsored by SLS Lines.  Their image, Book Lover was a great one to play around with for me this week.  I knew right away I wanted to print the digi on some old SU newsprint I had in my stash and color on the newsprint.  I decided to use and oval stitched die to frame my gal and added a computer generated sentiment.  A few glittery sequins and some Stickles on the pencils added finishing touches.  Who doesn't like sparkle?!?  Come and join the DT this week with your own glittery creations!

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #393

Welcome to our first sketch challenge for 2016, Sketch Saturday fans!  Our DT Call was a fabulous success!  We had so many wonderful folks to choose from that Sketch Saturday has more than doubled our DT.  We're excited for you to get to know all of our new folks over the coming weeks.

Sami Stamps is sponsoring this week.  My card uses Winter Cocoa. Alex's sketch inspired me to make a tryptic with the image.  It was fun to figure out where to make the cuts.  I paper pieced the coat, doodled the inside black lines, shaded with my Copics and added some Wink of Stella for sparkle.

Taylor Expressions' cable knit embossing folder created a great background panel.  A couple of snowflakes and a sentiment from my stash found their way onto this card. Love it when that happens!

A Day for Daisies - Challenge #138 - Anything Goes!

Happy New Year!  This first challenge on the A Day for Daisies Blog is an anything goes challenge.  My image is one of Tammy's new January Club Kit penguin digis, called Penguin Fairy.

I was playing around with watercolors this week and used them to color this cutie!  The only Copics I used were for shading the penguin!  This card could work for so many occasions - birthday, new baby, tooth fairy, birthday, etc.
