A Day for Daisies - Challenge #142 - Dimensional Flowers

Our new challenge at ADFD is to to add dimensional flowers.  I went to my stash and upcycled these flowers from a card a friend gave me for my birthday a couple of years ago.  The bight pink added a pop of color and pulled in the colors I used when I created the bg paper with an old SU stamp.  All of the sugarplums and stars are glittered for fun.

This card using Lolly Pop Dreams, is for my granddaughter who is moving into a new house this weekend.  I think she's a little nervous about a new bedroom, so I'm hopeful this peacefully sleeping sweetie will help settle her nerves!

Creative Knockouts #129 - In Stitches

This week's Creative Knockouts challenge is sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  I am using their image,  called Hope.  I used a darker color for the background so the dove would pop.  The shading of her face and eyes came out just lovely - wish I could say the same for the turquoise streaks in her hair.  Such is how it goes when playing around with coloring! You can relate, right?!?

Mojo Monday's sketch was my design basis  and I added some flowers from W Plus 9's Fresh Cut Florals and a "peace" die cut to complete my card.

A Day for Daisies Challenge #141 - Add A Touch of Wood

Welcome to our newest ADFD challenge and another chance to see the latest stick horse images Tammy has for you in the February release.  My card features Stick Horse Ride for Two .  I may be dating myself, but I have fond memories of time in the saddle of a rocking horse!  This card is for my granddaughter who is soon to be a big sister.  The photo doesn't pick up the glitter on the boots of each of these sweeties!

This fortnight's challenge is to Add a Touch of Wood to your creation.  There are so many ways to interpret this challenge!  I pulled out my wood-grained embossing folder as a background and dug out some wooden accents I bought on sale several years ago in my stash and popped a flower onto the card.  My ADFD teamies have their own ideas about adding wood, so check out the blog to see what they have created for you and play along with us.  You just might be the lucky challenge winner!!

My card for this week's Creative Knockouts challenge uses an image from All Dressed Up's Love to Shop collection of girls.  She's one I have had in my collection for a while and unfortunately, I can't find her in the ADU Etsy shop right now, but there are enough girls that you could use the same idea for a card design.  I have used ADU girls before and paired them with a sentiment.  I used the Sugar Cuts Notched Journal Card Die for the heart background and some patterned papers from a Valentine Crate Paper 6x6 stack.  Take a peek at the DT inspiration here and then play along with us this week!
