CAS Colours & Sketches - Challenge #223

Fiona has chosen some sweet colors for this week's challenge!   I love using my colored pencils on colored cardstock, so Sahara Sand is my background. Using white embossing powder, just the flowers and berries from the stamp, Floral Frame by Avery Elle are highlighted with color.  A little white colored pencil is added to the leaves.  Three clear sequins and a border of white and Sweet Sugarplum complete this card, which is going to my mom for Mother's Day. You can see a different version of this stamp with colored pencils on Crumb Cake background here.

Pop by the CAS Colours and Sketches Blog for inspiration and then play along with us this week.  Can't wait to visit you in the gallery!

  1. Heat embossing is the perfect technique for the outlines and I love the coloured in effect on the Sahara Sand background. x

  5. Every time I see someone do white heat embossing and then color it in, I think "Why haven't I tried that yet?" It's a terrific look for those pretty flowers!
