Sketch Saturday - Sketch #381

It's starting to feel like autumn here in Minnesota - cool nights that need a blanket to be cozy and crisp, warmish days, but you have to find the sun to stand in!  The weekend is shaping up to be perfect fall weather!  I love these days.

I hope your Saturday finds you well and ready for a new sketch from your friends at Sketch Saturday.  Milk Coffee is this week's sponsor and their prize is a choice of 5 digis from their Etsy shop.  My card features Swirly Bird, which is a great digi for many occasions.  I hope you have the chance to play along with us this week.  Take a peek at what the DT gals have for you here.

A Day for Daisies - October Release

Get over to the ADFD shop as fast as your fingers can type and take a peek at the ADORABLE images in the October release.  You will have a hard time deciding which one to buy first!  This one, Little Witch Play, is one of the four precious witches you can choose from.  I want to keep coloring a whole batch of them!  Tammy's artwork is so interesting and fun to color - I could feel the wind blowing in her face as the little sweetie was swinging!  It's hard to tell from my photo, but the background paper behind the witch and the card back is dark purple.  The card sketch is #176 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  It was the perfect way to feature this image!

Take a peek at the rest of the DT's work with the October images on the ADFD Blog here.   There's still time to play in the photo inspiration challenge!  Come back next Friday for a new challenge!

Challenges Entered:

Creative Knockouts #109 - Lots of Layers

It's Team B's Thursday for the new challenge at Creative Knockouts, called Lots of Layers!  Love this kind of challenge because layers are so natural for me to use on a card (as opposed to one layer cards, which knock me for a loop!).

Lemon Shortbread is this week's sponsor.  My card features their digi, Stringing Autumn Leaves.  The challenge prize is 3 digis - so get your game on and play along with the Creative Knockouts DT this week!
Challenges Entered:
Cards in Envy - Colors of Fall
Color Throwdown #362

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #380

Happy Saturday, Sketchers!
Debra has a fun sketch for you to play with this week.  The challenge prize is 7 digis from our wonderful sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.

I've used Bugaboo's, Sock Monkey-Birthday for my card.  Originally, I had every intention of using this image for a birthday card, but a colleague recently had a baby girl and I decided this little monkey would be an adorable card for her.  They aren't using traditional colors in their nursery and have decorated it with lots of oranges and yellows.  I love figuring out ways to use images in new ways!

Take a peek at our DT cards and then play along with us!  Can't wait to see your card in the gallery!

A Day for Daisies Challenge #131 - Mucha Love

We have a photo inspiration for our new ADFD challenge - Mucha Love.  I used the Mucha Style Wild Poppy and some elements of the photo in my card.  I utilized the deep purple, the gold, the swirl shapes, and laciness of the cake frosting.  Give your creativity a jump start and join our two week challenge at the ADFD Blog.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #379

Welcome back for a new sketch this week.  I love sketch challenges and Alex's sketch tested my creativity - along with making choices about papers I would use!  The circle frame and background circles are embedded into the white background paper.  The image and sentiment are from a Unity Stamp set my friend Marilyn sent me.

I hope you will come along and play with this Sketch Saturday challenge.  Bunny Zoe Crafts is our sponsor.  I'm looking forward to seeing your take on the sketch!

A Day for Daisies Showcase - Mucha Style Flowers

This week we are featuring September's Mucha Style Flower Collection at A Day for Daisies.  This is Mucha Style Bachelor Button 1.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but I fussy cut the bottom flower and popped it out to give it some dimension.

I love the colors these flowers come in.  Coloring this one allowed me to take a walk down memory lane from when I was younger.  My grandma grew these in her garden.

Stop by the ADFD Blog over the next two weeks to see the variety of flowers and how the DT used them.  Some of these flowers would be perfect for the Frame It! challenge.  There's still time to play!

Challenges Entered:
Addicted to Stamps #162 - Make Your Mark
Little Miss Muffet #120 - AG
Aud Sentiment #140 - AG + sentiment
Southern Girls - Layer it Up
